A Walk on the Wild Side

I recently made this animal print bra. The most well fitting bra I've made. The problem I encountered is that I did not check the stretch of the power net before I made it. And while the black power net that I used on other bras wasn't very stretchy, this beige power net is super stretchy. This means that the bra has stretched out after a month of wear. I will have to pick off the hook and eye and reattach it making the back smaller.

plus size sewing and pattern making

All bra supplies are from Bra Maker Supply except for the animal print lace, which I bought at Fabricland. I used some of the new techniques I learned from the Craftsy class Sewing Bras: Designer Techniques. The Gothic Arch  and downward hike have made this bra really comfortable to wear.

  1. OOOH! That is so fun! What did you use on the inside of the cups? It's a shame it stretched out so quickly, but good that its not impossible to fix.

  2. The cups are lined with beige Duoplex and then the lace on the outside. The back is power net with lace over top. I bought a lot of lace, so I'm sure we'll see it again and again.

  3. Where can I see the back of this darling bra?

    1. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the back of this bra.
